Université Révérend Kim, known as URKIM, is a private higher education institution belonging to the Protestant Evangelization Mission in Congo, MEPCO.
It is mainly located on Boulevard Kimbuta, Quartier 1 Eucalyptus, in N’djili, Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. The university is named after its founder, Reverend Kim, legal representative of MEPCO.

URKIM opened in October 2010, in accordance with ministerial order no. 153/MINESU/CABMIN/MML/KOB/2010 of 21 September 2010 authorizing its operation.
MEPCO decided to create a university institution in the DRC, in Tshangu district, N’djili commune.
The university opened for the 2010-2011 academic year with four initial faculties.
The organizing authority submitted a request to open the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Social, Political and Administrative Sciences.
URKIM opened a campus in Lingwala to meet the needs of the populations of Lukunga, Funa and Moamba.
Opening of the Faculty of Medicine and launch of the Faculty of Law at the Lingwala campus.
The Lingwala campus opened Medicine as well as Economics and Management Sciences.
Opening of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the N’djili campus.
URKIM currently offers faculties covering law, medicine, economics, communication, computer science and health sciences.

URKIM is based on collegial and hierarchical governance combining decision-making, management and academic steering bodies.
The administration and operation of the university are handled by several institutional bodies responsible for overall governance, daily management and academic organization.
The Administrative General Secretariat, Academic General Secretariat and Budget Administration coordinate attached services: registrar’s office, student welfare, maintenance and network, accounting, research and teaching.
Defines general policy, appoints members of the Management Committee and provides strategic direction. It meets in ordinary session twice a year.
Implements Board decisions, manages the university day to day and reports on its activities.
Defines teaching, programme and research policy. It brings together the Rector, Academic Secretary General, deans and full professors.
Organizes teaching within each faculty under the responsibility of the Dean, Academic Secretary and full-time professors.
Ensures the deployment of teaching programmes at department level with the department head, secretary and teachers.
Registrar’s office, student welfare, executive secretariat, maintenance and network, accounting, research and teaching.
